Northern rail racing vouchers back on sale

NORTHERN courses start the 24th year of their Back a Winner by Train promotion on Sunday, cutting rail-travelling racegoers' entry by Ł4 (Ł3 at York) on a record 200 days at 12 tracks.

Newcomers Pontefract and Hexham have joined regulars Beverley, Carlisle, Cartmel, Doncaster, Hamilton, Musselburgh, Newcastle, Redcar, Thirsk and York in the scheme, which is backed by First TransPennine Express in association with Northern Rail and First ScotRail.

Vouchers can be bought at 90 stations. They also allow Ł2 off a Tote Placepot bet of Ł5 or more. More details online at tpexpress.co.uk or northernrail.org

Free entry for Blue Square Fans

Blue Square are offering free entry for all fans to Wolverhampton and Southwell racecourses in February.

These meetings form part of the Blue Square Winter Carnival taking place for its second year at Lingfield, Southwell and Wolverhampton throughout January and February.

To claim a pair of tickets, email your name along with the date and venue you would like to attend to tickets@bluesq.com. You will receive a confirmation email which you will need to take to the racecourse to collect your tickets on the day.

JOHN SMITHS 2 FOR 1 OFFER

This is a very good scheme covering most racecourses in the UK at least once in 2011 and several courses have multiple dates on offer.

The Daily Mail group has renewed its 2 for 1 offers on 2 Sunday meetings most weekeds in 2012.

Tickets need to be ordered 10-14 days in advance and a full list of meetings covered in 2012 and application forms can be found on the Mail's web site - link button below.

Each time tou fill up at a Total garage you should be given a 'Rewards Voucher' if you spend Ł30 or more.

You can use these for a range of offers including 2 for 1 admission at Northern Racing Group racecourses.
