Welcome to the Northern Racing Club web site.
We are a non profit making organisation run by horse racing enthusiasts living in the North West and North East of England and North Wales, although we still have many members who have since left the region.
The club was formed in 1980 (originally as North West Racing Club) and we are now in our 30th year! As the club is not run for profit our annual subscription rate is kept to a minimum, currently only £10pa (plus £2pa for members at same address)
Our activities are covered on the adjoining pages in more detail but the main reason for our existance is to enable members to get more enjoyment out of their sport by participating in club events including; - Regular club preview nights (Cheltenham, Aintree, Royal Ascot etc) with leading local racing professionals in attandance.
- Other social events/dinners with guest speakers from the sport.
- Quarterly magazine/newsletter with members contributions welcome.
- Optional ownership groups (when sufficient demand exists) - flat/jumps syndications.
- Regular club competitions with valuable prizes to be won.
- Stable visits both locally and sometimes jointly with other racing clubs.
- Racing trips & holidays - sometimes provided by third parties.
- Regular sponsored recedays at local courses.
- Expanding club web site containing a wide variety of information.

In order to enable more members to participate in festival preview discussions the club has launched a new on line web site for on line previews at certain meetings.
It is envisaged that the site will be live for 30 minutes each evening at 8pm before the next days festival racing covering one days TV covered racing at a time. If you miss the live previews the comments will still be available later to read.
Members are encouraged to register on the web site asap ahead of the previews starting.
