Welcome to the Northern Racing Club web site.
We are a non profit making organisation run by horse racing enthusiasts living in the North West and North East of England and North Wales, although we still have many members who have since left the region.
The club was formed in 1980 (originally as North West Racing Club) and we are now in our 32nd year!
As the club is not run for profit our annual subscription rate is kept to a minimum, currently only £10pa (plus £2pa for members at same address). New members are currently offered an introductory discount - see membership details page for further information.
Our activities are covered on the adjoining pages in more detail but the main reason for our existance is to enable members to get more enjoyment out of their sport by participating in club events including;
- Regular club preview nights (Cheltenham, Aintree etc) with leading local racing professionals in attandance.
- Other social events/dinners with guest speakers from the sport.
- Bi Monthly magazine/newsletter with members contributions welcome.
- Affiliated racing syndicate ownership opportunities.
- Regular club competitions with valuable prizes to be won.
- Stable visits both locally and sometimes jointly with other racing clubs.
- Racing trips & holidays - sometimes provided by third parties.
- Regular sponsored recedays at local courses.
- Expanding club web site containing a wide variety of information.
