Welcome to the Northern Racing Club web site.
 
The Club has changed its name from NWRC to NRC w.e.f 2006.

We are a non profit making organisation run by horse racing enthusiasts living in the North of England and North Wales, although we still have many members who have since left the region.

The club was formed in 1980 and we are now in our 28th year! We currently have over 300 members.
 
 As the club is not run for profit our annual subscription rate is kept to a minimum, currently only £20pa (plus £4pa for members at same address) which also includes a monthly magazine and a discount card to use several racecourses in England and Wales. By taking advantage of the regular special offers available most members will fully recoup their membership fees as well!

Our activities are covered on the adjoining pages in more detail but the main reason for our existance is to enable members to get more enjoyment out of their sport by participating in club events including;
 

• Regular club preview nights (Cheltenham, Aintree, Royal Ascot etc) with leading local racing professionals in attandance.
• Monthly magazine/newsletter with members contributions welcome.
• Optional ownership groups - flat/jumps syndications.
• Regular club competitions with valuable prizes to be won.
• Stable visits both locally and sometimes jointly with other racing clubs.
• Racing trips & holidays - often at discounted prices.
• Regular sponsored recedays at local  courses.
